• Salvaged Second-Hand Guitar!

    Fender Stratocaster MN (Repaired)

    • Details

Back in 2017, a customer brought us this old Mexican Standard Strat (1992-93, according to the serial) in bits after having had a bit of a rock n roll moment... We've finally decided to put it up for sale!

It became a restoration project for Matt, who was determined to get it playing again. After gluing the body back together, he removed the paint by heating it up and scraping it off. He then filled some holes and sanded the body down, before taking a blowtorch to it for a scorched effect. Some wood stain was applied to finish the job, and the whole guitar was reassembled and set-up. Now it plays and sounds as good as it always did and, arguably, looks a bit better as well!

For more photos, see our original post showing the process here.
